We have hosted thousands of visitors over the years. Each visit is tailored to the age, background and learning objectives of your group.

What to expect

What happens during a visit.

A typical visit lasts 45–60 minutes. We adapt to your group's interests and the time available.

  1. Welcome and orientation

    Brief introduction to the masjid, its history and role in the community.

  2. Guided tour

    Walk through the prayer hall, ablution area, and other key spaces.

  3. Q&A session

    An open conversation — there are no off-limits questions.

  4. Optional prayer observation

    If your visit overlaps with a prayer time, you may observe respectfully.

Before you visit

Guidance for visitors.

A Masjid is a place of worship. Please read and share the following with your group before your visit so everyone arrives prepared.

Dress code
  • Shoulders, arms and legs covered
  • No shorts, short skirts or sleeveless tops
  • Females may wear a head covering (if possible)
  • Comfortable socks recommended — shoes are removed
Behaviour
  • Stay with your group and supervising adults
  • Mobile phones switched off
  • Quiet voices in prayer areas
  • No food or drink in the prayer hall
Safeguarding
  • Schools retain full responsibility for safeguarding & supervision
  • We follow safeguarding good practice at all times
  • No unsupervised one-to-one contact
Photography
  • Photography only with prior approval
  • No photographs of individuals without consent
  • Please ask staff before taking pictures

We provide age-appropriate worksheets and teacher packs to deepen learning around the visit. Print one copy per pupil and bring along on the day.
